We admit – the Democratic fold of candidates had a much more thorough representation here on Politickr than their pachydermic pals. But that is no more! Our “New Stuff” section, which combines the blog, photo, and video posts available for each candidate, has expanded to include tons more candidates:

These candidates have not yet been added to the main subscription or to the blog clouds; the former will come tomorrow, and the latter will come as part of a larger update in the next week or so.

Welcome to Politickr 2.0. We’ve ditched our focus on party for organizing this content and instead are focusing on ways to look at these candidates’ online presence.
Our tag clouds simply take the RSS feed offered on a candidate’s website, pipe it through ZoomClouds, and a tag cloud magically appears. Now you can see what the candidates are talking about as a measurement of their blogs’ activity.
It’s a pretty low-tech solution, but it works. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Though Bill Richardson has an active blog, it doesn’t have an RSS feed. Rather than wait for it to come out before offering a feed for him, we’ve created a feed combining his Flickr and YouTube accounts. Here’s the link to subscribe: http://feeds.feedburner.com/politickr/richardson.
If you’re a subscriber to the feed with all the candidates, Richardson’s new content will appear automatically with the normal updates.

There’s some issues going on with our the combined feed that’s available in the big RSS icon on top. Not that anyone subscribed to it will read it in this feed, but that’s why there haven’t been any updates from that feed all day. Our apologies – we’re working to get this fixed ASAP.
